GaGa Before GaGa!

O M F G.
I just may have found one of the best songs EVER yesterday. I clicked on a link from Lady GaGa's Twitter, which was a really touching slideshow fan video (Geez, I want fans like Lady GaGa's!) that had the most AMAZING Lady GaGa song playing to it that I had never heard before in my life. I was certain I had heard all of Lady GaGa's official songs, so I was puzzled that I had never heard it. I looked all over iTunes but couldn't find it, then I searched through the video comments to see if anyone knew what the song was called. Finally, someone commented saying that it was a song from a really old demo of hers (when she was known as Stefani Germanotta instead of GAGA) called No Floods. I looked it up on YouTube and TOTALLY fell in love with it! It's such an inspiring and feel-good song with some KICK ASS piano playing in it. I'll post the link to the HQ video I used to convert it into an MP3. Any GaGa fan HAS to listen to it!

The 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards!

Hey, everyone! Hope you all watched the ACMAs last night, it was quite a show! There were a LOT of performances and a lot of my favorite artists won awards! I'll do a little review of the night--
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley were pretty good hosts, I thought. I especially loved that mock-Kanye moment when that little old man walked on stage while Brad Paisley was talking about his new video and was like "I just wanted to say that Taylor Swift had the best video of ALL time!" It was too adorable! ^^ Lady Antebellum (I love them SO MUCH, Need You Now PWNS!) delivered an AMAZING performance of Need You Now, AND they won Vocal Group of the Year! I haven't really heard much of Sugarland, but I thought their performance of their song, Keep You, was really great. It was very powerful. And lastly, some TAYLOR SWIFT! WOOT! I didn't get to see her first performance, but her second performance, Fifteen, was really good, plus I love that song! :] The amazing Taylor won THREE awards, I believe, Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, and the highly honored Entertainer of the Year! Congrats to Taylor YEAHHH! Well, hope you liked my really lame review of the ACMAs! If you didn't get to watch it, be sure to watch it next year! It was the first time I watched it and I quite liked it :D

Ke$ha on Saturday Night Live--Disgraceful.

Ke$ha performed on Saturday Night live, and all I have to say is...wow. Seriously, people. If THAT is the kind of music that's popular these days, it's quite sad. What the HELL was she doing?! First, when she performed TiK ToK, she had that weirdo American flag silver spandex suit thing going on, and then freaking ASTRONAUT dancers start running on stage! Then, she pulled this total wannabe-GaGa and these lasers came up, and then she said, "HEY GUYS...DID YOU EVER STOP TO THINK THAT...MAYBE WE ARE THE REAL ALIENS?" I mean, last time I checked, wasn't this song about PARTYING?! The second performance, Your Love is My Drug, almost made me laugh at how UNBELIEVABLY horrible it was. She was wearing one of her little feather headresses or whatever, along with some really tight suit. But that wasn't the weirdest part. The room was blacklighted, and she had neon paint painted ALL OVER her, like she was some sort of neon Native American party girl or...man, I DO NOT know. All I can say is it was freaky. And after her performance she had to say one of her ditzy party girl things, so she said "It's Saturday night...wanna make out?" I mean, how are men going to find you at all sexy when you're in THAT thing? Anyway, enough with the outfits. On to the actual MUSIC. In both performances, her voice sounded really strained and weak. I do think that it's good that she actually SINGS live, I didn't expect her to, but it still sounded terrible. And don't you all think she's trying a LITTLE too hard to be a combination of Uffie and Lady GaGa at the same time? So...I guess that's all I have to say about Ke$ha's little SNL stunt.

GLASS CANDY!

I bet the title of this post intrigued you, eh? Well, guess what? IT'S A BAND NAME! I know, it's like, the most AMAZING band name EVER. Anyway, Glass Candy is this band I recently discovered from Oregon and they are practically my new obsession! Their music is just amazing, I can't even explain it. It's like some sort of electronic-indie-with-amazing-album-cover-ness. How did I find them, you ask? Well, on this LAVELY (yes, I spelled it that way on purpose) website, RCRD LBL (http://www.rcrdlbl.com/artists/Glass_Candy/track/Feeling_Without_Touching)! I signed on to their mailing list, and every week, they just send me free songs! It's quite awesome. I had been to lazy to look at any of their e-mails, but yesterday I went on and downloaded practically every song they sent me, and this one was hands down my FAVORITE! It's called Feeling Without Touching. You should definitely take a look and download it, what have you got to lose? That's right, nothing! 'CAUSE IT'S FO FWEE.

PS--I believe you can download their album, B/E/A/T/B/O/X on iTunes (Geez, even their ALBUM name is extremely cool!).

BEST KELLY CLARKSON SONG EVER!

OMG, guys. Yesterday, I found like, the BEST KELLY CLARKSON SONG EVER. EVER! I couldn't believe I had never heard it, it's SO awesome. It's called Long Shot, it's a Katy Perry cover. Yet, honestly, I think Kelly's version is way better. No offense to Katy, btw, lover her, but her version just sounds a little pitchy. Anyway, it's SUCH a good song, you HAVE to check it out. Anyway, just wanted to tell you guys about it =]
Hope you like it, you can find it on YouTube!
